Morgan was one of the actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention and education. Part of the proceeds was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. She is part of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the main force behind many fund-raising campaigns for this disease. She also addressed the Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. Morgan is a member of the Board of Governors of APLA, and of Amfar's Board of Directors. She was asked to fill in for former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop at AIDS-related events. Steve Bell, a anchor for the news has presented a AIDS Awareness Special. Ted Koppell has interviewed her two times about AIDS during Nightline. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. In the spring, she starred alongside Joan Rivers in ABC television's Your Money or Your Wife. Her summer started with Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was directed by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It included Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. Her next project took Morgan to Luxembourg, where she starred in the role of Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady in Harmony Gold's production. Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee were also featured. Morgan played a part in the thriller of psychological suspense made exclusively by the USA Network garnering one of the biggest ratings in the history of the network.
